OUR STORY
We met at work and it wasn’t love at first sight. By the time we got to know each other though, it was all love and butterflies. It wasn’t at all difficult to decide we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. We were so aligned in our values and goals in life it felt like the world stopped to bring us together. In a year and half, we were husband and wife.
The saying love is blind and marriage is an eye opener became real as less than a year into our marriage, we both thought we had made the wrong choice of partner. DIVORCE WASN’T IN THE PLAN BUT AS WE WENT ON, WE WERE HEADED IN THAT DIRECTION; PULLING, TUGGING, CRITICIZING, BLAMING, CRYING, REGRETTING, AND FALLING DEEP INTO CONTEMPT TOWARDS EACH OTHER.
We finally threw in the towel and thought we couldn’t go on. Oh, what a sad journey it was at the beginning; knowing we didn’t want to repeat the mistakes of our parents but watching on as we fell right into that same path was really heartbreaking. Divorce not being an easy option led us to start moving towards knowledge of self and knowledge of the other. We dug deep into God to understand His mind for this supposed good thing He had created and we found love and understanding again.
We quickly realize we had to ditch the idea that our love would grow organically without any effort from us. Intentionality became our watchword and slowly but surely we started realizing nothing was wrong with our choice but all was wrong with the lens we were viewing the relationship with. We started owning our individual mistakes and growth, understanding change is constant but begins with us individually and not something to be expected from the other.
We handed over the reins of our relationship to God and as things turned around, we knew we had to share tools, techniques, and processes we learned and developed along the way with other couples.
The Family Central Coaching Company began with us sharing marriage tips using relatable stories; we held nothing back in sharing our trials, pain, and victories. This quickly endeared us to many and we now speak, coach, and nurture others on their journey to having the relationship and marriage of their dreams.
Our mission is to bring clarity and understanding to the things that puzzle men and women in their relationships with each other. We believe family is the vehicle for restructuring society and the vehicle for raising emotionally stable and socially intelligent children.
LOOKING AT OUR BACKGROUNDS, INDIVIDUAL, TRAUMA, IGNORANCE, AND PERSONALITIES, WE WERE VERY UNLIKELY TO BUILD THE BEAUTIFUL MARRIAGE WE NOW HAVE. MUCH TO OUR JOY; NOT ONLY HAVE WE GROWN, WE HAVE ALSO HELPED THOUSANDS OF COUPLES ON THEIR JOURNEY AND CONTINUE TO HELP MANY MORE DISCOVER THE BLISS THEY CAN ENJOY IN THEIR RELATIONSHIP.
